Courtenay has graduated from level-2 bed rest to level-3 which means she can move around the hospital a little more and that means she'll be online from time to time. So If I can get your help I thought that a little fun on this weblog might amuse her just a little.
Having made it through 32 weeks of pregnancy we're starting to get more than a little excited by what seems increasingly immanent: our two little bundles of joy are coming in the next say seven or eight weeks tops. The question is....when? The doctors aren't giving much away. It could still be early as originally predicted or she could still go a full 40 weeks.
Join us in the great Hemphill babies prediction lottery. Use the comment feature here to predict a day and time. Be sure that you don't pick a day that someone else has already picked and in the meantime we'll figure out what someone should get if they're close or they actually do predict the right day (the winner gets to change a diaper perhaps?).
Congrats Mark and Courtenay! We never knew you were expecting!
All the best from Carol, Caitlin (4 weeks old today) and I on the upcoming triple-laundry/quarter-sleep term! Chalk us up for 10 days early! We'll stop by to help with the diaper change next June on our RV trip!
All the best, congrats again, and very glad to hear that you're into your 33rd week, good times to come!!

It might be a bit early but I'm going to guess my birthday, October 29th. I loved having my b-day close to Halloween when I was a kid (what am I saying, I still do!). If I win, I'll change TWO diapers. I'll even take an evening rocking/holding shift.
We think of you guys a lot and are always glad to hear good news. I know it's been a very stressful and long summer for you guys but can you believe the time is almost here? Put down your novel and start reading those baby books! We can't wait to see you and the babes. Take care and we'll talk to you soon.
Love,
Heidi, Scott, and Malcolm

Hi Mark and Courtenay,
I love getting news from you via the blog and am happy that things are going so well. I would say that the babies will be born in November (I'll be home then!!) and I will predict November 14... no reason for that date, just a guess.
Love you all,
Paula

Hello and congratulations for making it this far! Bed rest must be tough, but wait until the twins are two and then you'll wish for bed rest!! We think of you often and hope for you to make it to 38 weeks. Our guess is November 1st at 9:10 and 9:20.

I'm going to go for the long, long shot and guess November 4 and 5th... 11:58pm and 12:01am. But, uh... if I do win, I'll donate the diaper-changing "grand prize" to charity.
Enjoy your final days of tranquility, guys... ;)

Hi Mark & Courtney,
Great to hear the good news. I know you both have been in our prayers and I ask Blair & Andrea about you guys everytime I see them. We were in to see them tonight, Norah is some "cutie" just like her Nanny. My prediction is November 22nd. Hey I don't mind changing diapers. Best of Luck!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Mark & Courtney,
Best of Luck to you. Freeman predicts babies will arrive at 8:20 a.m. on November 11th. He will also do anything but change diapers.

Hi Guys,
I predict November 11th - this is Remembrance Day and I think these little babies definitely deserve a special b-day after all they have been through! And the mommy too - this is also my mom's b-day - she will be 65 this year!
If I win, I will do anything you ask of me - I can't wait meet the babes!

Hey Courtenay! Congratulations on making it to week 32! Mark has been doing a great job of 'nesting', which is quite heartwarming to watch. I am predicting the week 37 mark, which is November 7th. There is definitely a place in heaven for you after the summer you've had. I am really looking forward to meeting these boys, but even more than that, I can't wait to see YOU!

The boys will definately arrive on November 8th at 8:33 and 8:42. I also predict that they will enjoy taking blondes for a drive in their GM. I will have a chat with them about this when the time is right...

Has no one picked Halloween - that's my bet. Although Denny's b-day is Nov. 1 so I'll put that in as his guess! We're already knee deep in dirty diapers so we'll pass on that prize!

Wonderful news Court and Mark! I have a feeling that with these two little boys, they will be playing a lot of tricks on Mommy, so I am betting on Hallowe'en - Oct 31st.
Mark - this blog has been so great to keep up with Court's pregnancy (since I can never get through the phone!). Thanks so much for keeping us in the loop.
Court - as always, wishing you all the best, and am so excited for you.
Love Jill xoxo

How exciting! The dates are going fast, so I will take November 3rd. That was my Gram's birthday! I wonder if Blair considered that Norah's hair is looking quite blonde so far.....maybe that's what the talk will be about. Beware boys! Can't wait to see you all! Hugs and love, Andrea

Wow, I just read all of the comments and my heart is warm and I can't stop smiling. Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond, we will have to think of a better prize than the one that Mark suggested. We are so lucky to have all of you in our lives and believe me all of your positive thoughts have helped us to get past this incredible scary time in our lives. I hope to see some of you soon on PEI, I am REALLY ready to come home.

Hard for all of us (who haven't needed to be confined to bed) to believe "your boys" arrival will soon happen. Brady and Tina have kept us up-to-date.
From reading all the remarks eveyone has made so far...your new little ones will truly be surrounded by a world of love.
Our prediction is November 10th.
Take Care,
Sharon and Ted Sanders

hm... Jacob already picked my date, so I'll say November 30th. I was supposed to be early as well and I was two weeks late, so maybe you have quite a long time to go... Anyway I'm glad to hear that you're doing better! I miss you guys a lot and can't wait to see pictures of your cute boys. If I win, I'll have to fly around to world to change diapers I guess ;) Which, actually, would be great!
Lots of love,
laura
