Share your research!

By now I have met with most of you on a one-on-one basis to provide feedback on the first iteration of your research paper (if we haven't met please email me to arrange a time asap).

Our next step is to create a space for each of you to share with the group a summary of your research project. We will all use this space to supply you with pointers (links) and helpful comments which can support your research.  Read on for instructions.

Page functionality on Weblogs@UPEI

To set up this space just go to Weblogs@UPEI and instead of creating a personal blog entry create a page.   A page will allow you to create a stand alone page on the system which won't appear in your personal weblog (if you have one on Weblogs@UPEI). 

Creating your page

Use the page to describe your topic in detail.  If you have specific guidance for those of us who could help you with pointers to good source material, provide some instructions.

Want to keep it private? Don't post to "community notice board"

When you save your page make sure you de-select "post to community notice board (front page)".   This will prevent your page from appearing on the front page of Weblogs@UPEI.   If you unintentionally post it to the front page you can go ahead and edit your post to deselect the option after the fact. 

Want to share?  Just create a normal blog entry!

If you want to share the page with the world, which is great,....well you might as well make it part of your personal blog by creating a personal blog entry in the first place instead of a page.
